Call for papers

A large number of colleges and universities across the United States are also transitioning traditional face-to-face classes into fully online, blended, or web-facilitated courses in order to maintain a competitive edge and make classes accessible to a growing population of both traditional and non-traditional learners. While professional development programs for online instructors are mostly consisted of one‐time face‐to‐face workshops, recently, faculty members are voluntarily or at the request of their institutions turning to workshops delivered online. Therefore, there is urgent need for dialogue on how virtual training programs might influence online teaching and learning and whether faculty offering online courses should be required to have online certification prior to teaching.
