Dr. Itumeleng Moroenyane is a plant scientist and principal investigator of the Plant Holobiont Lab at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. His current research focuses on elucidating the assembly processes that shape plant holobionts and exploring the evolutionary history of niche shifts and stability. His work significantly advances our understanding of how plant holobionts are formed and sustained, offering novel insights into the hologenome theory of evolution.
