The growth of higher education in the AMECEA Region and beyond is one of the factors that have motivated the need for relevant and high-quality publications. CUEA established a Press as a strategy for promoting quality publications in addition to its main role of offering printing services to CUEA. The department has also published various titles.
In 2008, the Department changed its name from CUEA Publications to CUEA Press. The Publishing Policy was approved by the University Council on 15th May 2008.
