Peer Counsellors Graduation Ceremony 2026

Peer Counsellors Graduation Ceremony 2026

On Thursday, 19th March 2026, the CUEA Peer Counsellors Club held their highly anticipated 2026 Graduation Ceremony — a celebration of commitment, compassion, and service to fellow students.

The ceremony was graced by Prof. Justus Munyoki, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), who represented the Vice Chancellor. In his address, Prof. Munyoki commended the graduating peer counsellors for their selfless dedication to supporting their colleagues through the challenges of university life. He encouraged them to continue being pillars of strength and empathy, reminding them that the skills they have gained — active listening, conflict resolution, and emotional support — are invaluable assets that will serve them well beyond their university years.

The graduating peer counsellors were formally issued with their certificates of completion, recognizing their training and service throughout the academic year. The certificates stand as a testament to their hours of mentorship, guidance sessions, and crisis intervention work that has positively impacted the CUEA student community.

In a deeply meaningful conclusion to the day's celebrations, the Peer Counsellors received a solemn blessing during the Thursday Community Mass, underscoring the spiritual dimension of their service and CUEA's commitment to nurturing holistic student development.

The event was a proud moment for the university community, highlighting the vital role that peer support plays in fostering a healthy, inclusive, and caring campus environment.
