The Catholic University of Eastern Africa

CBET/CBC/CBE Sensitization Workshop for All Staff

A university-wide sensitization session convened by the Faculty of Education to prepare staff for Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET), the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and Competency-Based Education (CBE). The full recording and all presentation materials are available below.

The sensitization workshop brought together academic and administrative staff from across the University to build a shared understanding of the shift from content-based to competency-based education. Sessions covered the philosophy behind CBET/CBC/CBE, the rationalisation of learning areas, senior school pathways and subject combinations, and the practical implications for programme design, assessment and teaching practice.

The Faculty of Education's CBET/CBC Implementation Committee also presented its mandate and roadmap, outlining how the University will align its academic offerings with the competency-based framework.
