Sr. Dr. Marren Rose A. Awiti, born 25 November 1969 in Migori County, Kenya, is a Catholic religious sister of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Loreto Sisters), professed in 1999. She holds a Doctorate in Canon Law (JCD) from the University of Saint Paul, Ottawa, and a PhD in Canon Law from the University of Ottawa, Canada (2014-2017), a Licentiate in Canon Law from the Urbaniana Pontifical University, Rome (2013), a Master in Canon Law from CUEA (2010-2013), and a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University (1990-1994). She has been a Lecturer at the Institute of Canon Law, Catholic University of Eastern Africa, since 2017. Previously she was a teacher and Principal at Loreto schools, including Principal of Loreto Msongari (2004-2008) and Teacher at Loreto Matunda.
