CUEA Gaba Campus Library
The library was initiated by Rev. Fr. Aylward Shorter in 1968. It was later named the 'Library of AMECEA Pastoral Institute (Gaba)', back then in Uganda. When the institute was relocated to Eldoret, along the Eldoret/Kisumu road, the library's total holdings comprised about six thousand books and one thousand bound periodicals.
The Catholic University of Eastern Africa incorporated the AMECEA Pastoral Institute in 2009 as one of its constituent campuses. Consequently, the number of library books grew to thirteen thousand and about five thousand bound periodicals.
Currently, a notable increase in the numbers of books, periodicals/journals, CDs, and video tapes has been realized, translating to remarkable exponential growth of the library's information resources.
Building up a collection of print and non-print information resources that supports research and instructional programs of the university.
Providing information communication technologies that are commensurate with the growing number of users.
