Dr. Njagi Muthoni Betty holds a Doctoral Degree in Economics from the University of Sophia Institute, Italy. She is a Lecturer in Economics at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) and Head of the Department of Economics in the School of Business and Economics. She has over 20 years of experience in teaching, community service and research at university level, and has supervised postgraduate theses and undergraduate research projects. She has undertaken research, training, and published and presented academic papers in international conferences on Public Finance Management, Public Policy, Economic Relationships, Innovations and Business, and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Management. She has widely consulted for the Government and State agencies on economic issues, and is an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Research and Innovation in Social Science. She is a member of the Organization of Social Sciences Research in Eastern and South Africa (OSSREA) Kenya Chapter, the Association of African Women in Research and Development (AAWRD) Kenya Chapter, the Institute of Economic Affairs Kenya, and the Knowles Institute of Emotional Intelligence, Singapore.
