CUEA Explores Partnership with Good Shepherd Catholic Hospital, Eswatini
By Research Department
The Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) on Friday, September 25, 2026, hosted Mr. Eric Muzie Dlamini, Chief Executive Officer of Good Shepherd Catholic Hospital in Siteki, Eswatini.
Mr. Dlamini paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, Advancement and Partnerships (DVC-RIAP), where discussions centred on potential areas of collaboration between CUEA and the Catholic health institution.
Good Shepherd Catholic Hospital, located in Siteki in Eswatini's Lubombo Region, is a 201-bed facility founded by the Catholic Church in 1949. The hospital is operated by the Catholic Diocese of Manzini, in partnership with the Government of Eswatini.
Serving a large rural population in the Lubombo Region, the hospital provides medical and surgical services as well as community outreach programmes.
The visit provided an opportunity to explore areas of mutual interest and strengthen collaboration between Catholic institutions in education, healthcare, research and community service.
The proposed partnership aligns with CUEA's commitment to expanding strategic institutional linkages that advance research, professional development, healthcare and service to society.
