CUEA Signs Memorandum of Understanding At 7th Global Uniservitate Symposium, LUMSA University, Rome

Rome, Italy – 29th October 2026 – Our VC, Very Rev. Prof. Elias O. Opongo, SJ, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of CUEA during the VII Global Symposium of UNISERVITATE held at LUMSA Università, Rome.

The symposium, themed "Designing Maps of Hope through Service-Learning," brought together Vice Chancellors, Rectors and leaders of Catholic higher education from across the globe to advance service-learning as a pedagogy of hope and transformation.

The MoU with UNISERVITATE – the global programme for Service-Learning in Catholic Higher Education – will strengthen collaboration in curriculum integration, community engagement, faculty formation, and research in service-learning. It positions CUEA within the global network of over 30 Catholic Universities committed to institutionalizing service-learning.

The signing marks a significant step in CUEA's internationalization and its mission to promote integral human development through academic excellence and service to the society.
