Sr. Dr. Veronica JemanyurRop, ASE, is currently a lecturer at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa at the Centre for Social Justice and Ethics. Sr.Veronica serves as a Corresponding Member for Pontifical Academy for Life (PAV), Rome. She is also a member of Catholic Theological Ethics in the World Church (CTEWC) where she served as a contributor for CTEWC Newsletter African FORUM. She is the immediate leader of the Assumption Sisters of Eldoret (ASE), a local Congregation based in Kenya where she served for five years (2013-2018) as the Superior General and executive member for the Association of Sisterhoods of Kenya (AOSK).
Sr. Veronica is a graduate of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. She graduate in 2016 with a Ph.D. in Theology with a specialization in Moral Theology. She also holds MA in Practical Theology, Barry University (2007-2009), Miami Shores, Florida, USA; MS in Counseling (Mental Health; Marriage, Family & Couple Counseling and Therapy; School Counseling), Barry University (2005-2007); BS in Exceptional Student Education (ESE), Barry University (2001-2005), and a BA in Theology, Barry University (2001-2005) Miami Shores, Florida, USA. She was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Boston College (2019), MA, USA. Sr. Veronica is an author of the book, Human Dignity-Participation of Women in Integral Human Development: A Study Among the Kalenjin in the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret, Kenya, Humburg: Verlag Dr. Kovac Publishers, 2020 (Amazon). Veronica is also an international guest speaker on matters related to Theology and ethics, education, gender issues particularly African women as well as integral human development and African family life.
